We are delighted to announce the launch of THE IMMIGRANTS/PINTA LONDON 2015 that will take place in London from 15 to 18 October at The Old Truman Brewery.

This is a new art show that includes PINTA LONDON as a platform within THE IMMIGRANTS to showcase Latin American art yet extends its mapping into new realms and regions.

THE IMMIGRANTS conveys in just two words the invitation to a journey, to imagine the future, the promise of an imaginary land, the occasion to leave old frontiers and old habits behind. THE IMMIGRANTS will serve to promote and showcase in London, the most multicultural of cities, the best of the arts from other regions.

THE IMMIGRANTS will take place at The Old Truman Brewery in East London, where thousands of immigrants first settled in this cosmopolitan city. Originally a region associated with cultural diversity and industrialisation, it is now the enviable hanging out area for the sophisticated and affluent, THE IMMIGRANTS is just a few minutes away from Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market and the Whitechapel Gallery. With the most lively and fashionable restaurants, markets, hotels, private clubs and within throwing distance from the capital’s financial district, this area has become London’s ultimate destination.

THE IMMIGRANTS will coincide with Frieze, becoming an alternative to exhibit the best of modern and contemporary art, but at accessible fees. London during Frieze week is host to major international collectors, curators and decision-makers in the art world. Thus THE IMMIGRANTS offers a unique and extraordinary opportunity for galleries to be seen, with a continuous shuttle service between Frieze and THE IMMIGRANTS.

This “new-old” art fair benefits from the reputation of the established and unique PINTA LONDON, yet offers an exciting expansion to its content. The PINTA LONDON team will provide THE IMMIGRANTS with the expertise, network, collectors and accumulated experience of its five years’ successful history.
