BAM, in collaboration with Artsy, is proud to announce its 10th Annual BAM Art Auction. Co-chaired by Carrie Mae Weems (who also donated a significant work), Beth Rudin DeWoody, and Mark Diker, the auction features works from internationally renowned and emerging artists including works by:

The online auction is available now through May 5 on Artsy and the Artsy iPhone app, and accessible via interactive digital kiosks in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House lobby at 30 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, and in the BAM Fisher at 321 Ashland Place, Brooklyn. Works can be viewed in person from May 3 to 5 at Whitebox Art Center at 329 Broome Street in Manhattan.

The auction concludes on May 5 with a closing party and performance at Whitebox Art Center from 7 to 10pm. Bidding ends at 10pm. At the closing party, a digital projection installed by Artsy will display all live bids in real time as collectors from around the world participate in the auction online and on mobile devices. The closing party also features a sound installation, Warm-up, by interdisciplinary artist Audra Wolowiec.

This highly anticipated annual art event underscores BAM Visual Art’s commitment to the growing community of visual artists based in Brooklyn while also cultivating the next generation of BAM supporters.
