SCOPE Art Show will present its seventh Basel edition in a new location: Klybeckquai, on the Rhine. An area that has been receiving a great deal of attention and political support from the City of Basel, Klybeckquai is quickly becoming a site for focused cultural development. SCOPE Basel is pleased to be at the forefront of this groundswell, mounting its 4,000 m2 pavilion in the heart of Klybeckquai, along with an extensive marketing campaign and engineering of collaborative efforts with many of the city’s most influential voices.

Featuring 80 international Exhibitors and Breeder Program galleries, SCOPE Basel 2013 will provide an extraordinary opportunity for visitors to experience a view of the contemporary art market available nowhere else. Attendees to SCOPE Basel are a serious and dedicated group of collectors, press, museum professionals and art enthusiasts whose impact on the cultural landscape is of inestimable importance.

Long established as the original incubator for emerging work, SCOPE’s Breeder Program celebrates its 13th year of introducing new galleries to the contemporary market. A remarkable opportunity for unprecedented exposure, Breeder Program alumni include Peres Projects, John Connelly Presents, Galeria Enrique Guerrero, Daniel Reich Gallery, Bischoff/Weiss, INVISIBLE-EXPORTS, SEVENTEEN, ROKEBY, Taxter Spengemann, Magical Artroom and Spinello Projects, among other notable galleries.

SCOPE Basel 2013 opens to Press and VIPs on Tuesday, June 11 with the First View benefit from 1pm to 9pm; the fair will run June 12–16. Alongside our featured galleries, SCOPE Basel will also present cutting-edge special programming, collector tours and special events that feature innovative work across multiple creative industries, including fashion, film, music and performance.
