Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (TBG+S) is a unique artists-studios organization and gallery in Dublin city centre. The focus is on contemporary art and TBG+S has a national importance in developing the visual arts in Ireland. Through our 30 artists’ studios and gallery program, we facilitate and support professional artists to make new art work. We also offer a full program of talks, events, and education activities around the artists’ studios and gallery that engages new audiences with artists and art-making.

For the second year, the TBG+S gallery program has been devised by a Curatorial Panel. The curators of the 2012/2013 gallery program are: Robert Armstrong (artist), Rayne Booth (TBG+S), Isobel Harbison (independent curator and art writer), James Merrigan (artist and art critic), and Paul McAree (artist and TBG+S curator-in-residence).

TBG+S is pleased to announce its artistic program for 2012/13
Following a re-launch in 2011, TBG+S will present a relevant, vibrant, and engaging season of exhibitions in its significant gallery in Dublin city centre for 2012/2013. The new artistic program will be complimented by TBG+S Talks, Events and Education program comprising lunchtime gallery tours, studio artists’ talks, screenings, workshops, schools visits, and more.  In addition, our TBG+S International Studio Program will feature Seamus Nolan (IRE) as the sixth Irish artist in our partnership with HIAP: Helsinki international artist in residence program; Peles Empire (Katharina Stoever [DE] and Barbara Wolf [RM]) on a production residency, as part of an EU Culture project entitled Paths Crossing; and Stine Hebert (DK), curator with Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen on a curatorial residency.

In total the new TBG+S exhibition program for 2012/2013 will feature six exhibitions, a weekend Art Book Fair and a pop-up music event.
