A joint production by Bòlit, Contemporary Art Centre. Girona and Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona, Immunitat de capvespre is a specific installation that follows on from the recent exhibition “Invisible Fields. Geographies of Radio Waves” curated by José Luis de Vicente and Honor Hager at Espai Laboratori at Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona.

Created especially for Girona, the piece occupies two spaces: the Cambra de la Propietat Urbana de Girona Exhibition Space and another site that users will discover by following a set of instructions.

Taking as his starting point the dismantling of Radio Liberty Pals, the anticommunist propaganda facility that broadcast from Pals beach during the Cold War, Ramos has designed an installation with two sets of mirrors to play with the notion of what is real and what is not, what we see and what is hidden from us, control and domination.

By using information and a listening and guiding device that could have come from an underground movement, participants find themselves caught up in a world where the lines between reality and representation are increasingly blurred. The piece sets up fictional mechanisms to create a unique space where participants play a key role in unexpected experiences.
