A central event for national and international professionals and art lovers, Artissima attracts 55,000 visitors, including 5,500 contemporary art collectors, more than 400 international curators and museum directors, several groups of patrons of prestigious museums worldwide and 1,500 accredited journalists.

The 27th edition of the fair will take place from November 5 (preview) to November 8, 2020 in Turin and will showcase experimental young talents alongside outstanding galleries and internationally recognized artists that have shaped the history of contemporary art.

Director Ilaria Bonacossa has nominated a new team of international curators to develop the different sections of the fair and a series of specific projects, talks and lectures that reconfirm Artissima’s experimental and curatorial nature.

In 2020, Artissima will explore the concept of FRENETIC STANDSTILL, examining its repercussions on the world of contemporary art. The theme of acceleration as opposed to inertia, and therefore of a necessary change of our paradigms, ignites the most recent debates. The true response to the crisis of our complex times is a profound and thorough form of evolution which might be conveyed precisely by art, which has always acted as a catalyst of the most innovative visions.

The seven sections:

Main Section
Brings together outstanding galleries from the international art world: established names offer collectors and art lovers an event of the highest quality.

Dialogue/Monologue

*presented by Valerio Del Baglivo

Art Spaces & Editions
A special section of Artissima exclusively devoted to galleries and non-profit spaces presenting editions, prints and multiples by contemporary artists.

Disegni

*curated by Letizia Ragaglia, Bettina Steinbrügge

Back to the Future

Present Future
