The third edition of Bon-gah Art Book Fair will take place from September 23 to 25, 2020, in Bon-gah’s new space located in an old neighborhood of Tehran which used to be known as the capital of publishing houses and bookstores. Initiated in 2018, Bon-gah Art Book Fair is an annual three-day event of artists’ publications. Including a wide range of artists and collectives, curators, publishers, institutions, galleries, periodicals, zines and printed ephemera, the event is free and open to the public. With a commitment to diversity and representation, the fair will serve as a meeting place for an extended community of publishers, artists and book enthusiasts, as well as a site for dialogue and exchange around all facets of arts publishing. The fair will host a diverse range of talks, discussions, book launches and workshops. In the upcoming edition, Bon-gah will also exhibit its curated library consisting of donated books by artists and publishers.

Bon-gah is an artist-run platform and an independent publisher founded in 2004. Bon-gah began its practice by focusing on innovative projects within the realms of arts and publishing. Located in Keresht, a suburb of Tehran, Bon-gah’s multifunctional space has been a favorite hunting ground for aesthetes and has arranged numerous art events while providing studios for artists and a platform to talk and communicate. Bon-gah’s new space includes a library and a bookstore and is located in Tehran city center and focuses on art publishing.

Call for applications is now open. More information are available here.
