Talking Galleries, the think tank for galleries, is pleased to announce a new series of Online Talks with the aim to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the gallery world and the wider art market.

The outbreak of Covid-19, and the global shutdown and its subsequent economic downturn that came in its wake, has shaken up the art world in unexpected ways. In light of these challenging times, Talking Galleries will host a special online programme that seeks to provide a meeting point for debate and exchange around the challenges of art galleries during—and post—pandemic

During September, a series of virtual panel discussions, conversations and presentations will bring together prominent art professionals, both from Spain and the international scene, who will share their insights on how galleries are facing this fast-changing situation and how the global market will evolve.

With the participation of Marc Spiegler (Art Basel), Sam Orlofksy (Gagosian, New York), Oliver Miro (Victoria Miro, London), Elena Soboleva (David Zwirner, New York), Anders Petterson (ArtTactic, London), Alain Servais (Brussels), András Szántó (New York), Silvia Dauder (ProjecteSD, Barcelona), Carlos Durán (Galería Senda, Barcelona), Sabrina Amrani (Galería Sabrina Amrani, Madrid), Miguel Ángel Sánchez (ADN Galeria, Barcelona), Alberto de Juan (Max Estrella, Madrid), Marta Pérez Ibáñez (Madrid), Mattis Curth (Artland, Copenhagen), Sveva d’Antonio (Naples), Marina Ruiz Colomer (Sotheby’s, London), Carlos Usandizaga (Barcelona), Chema de Francisco (Estampa, Madrid), Ana Sokoloff (sokoloff + associates, New York), Carles Guerra (Barcelona), Marcelo Expósito (Barcelona), Pablo Helguera (MoMA, New York), Georgina Adam (The Art Newspaper, London), Jane Morris (The Art Newspaper, London), Rebecca Taylor (London) and Llucià Homs (Talking Galleries, Barcelona), among others.

The programme includes sessions in Spanish and in English. Check our website here for the detailed schedule.

Participation will be open and free with prior registration.
