Latitude – Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad, a partnership between ABACT [Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art] and Apex-Brasil [Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency], is delighted to support the participation of over a dozen galleries from Brazil at three art fairs in Miami over the course of December.

Art Basel - OVR: Miami Beach
13 Latitude member galleries are taking part in this year’s very first virtual edition of Art Basel in Miami. Running from December 4 to 6, 2020, with VIP Preview days from December 2 to 4, 2020, OVR: Miami Beach will feature 255 galleries from 30 countries and territories. The online viewing rooms will be complemented by a series of conversations, gallery walk-throughs and virtual events. Participating galleries from Brazil via Latitude include A Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro), Bergamin & Gomide (São Paulo), Casa Triângulo (São Paulo), Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel (São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro), Galeria Luisa Strina (São Paulo), Mendes Wood DM (São Paulo/New York/Brussels), Galeria Millan (São Paulo), Galeria Nara Roesler (São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro/New York), Galeria Kogan Amaro (São Paulo/Zürich), Simões de Assis (Curitiba/São Paulo), Luciana Brito Galeria (São Paulo), Vermelho (São Paulo) and Central Galeria (São Paulo).

UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach
Portas Vilaseca Galeria (Rio de Janeiro) and Zipper Galeria (São Paulo) will represent Brazil at UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach, an international, curated contemporary art fair where galleries, artist-run exhibition spaces and non-profit institutions and organizations are selected by a curatorial team. UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach will take place virtually from December 2 to 6, 2020.

PINTA MIAMI LIVE
The 2020 edition of PINTA MIAMI LIVE runs from December 2 to 15, 2020 with around 100 galleries from Latin America, the United States and Europe, presenting artworks from over 300 artists. As one of the main references of art from Latin America for collectors, professionals, museums, and institutions, this year’s digital platform offers unprecedented access to free curatorial content and projects with international curators showcasing art from Latin America with a global perspective. For this edition, the participating galleries from Brazil via Latitude are Galeria Berenice Arvani (São Paulo), Simone Cadinelli Arte Contemporânea (Rio de Janeiro), Galeria Zagut (Rio de Janeiro) and Mul.ti.plo Espaço Arte (Rio de Janeiro).

Brazilian galleries at international online art fairs
Latitude has been proud to support the participation of its member galleries at select international art fairs since the project was created in 2007. Support to galleries comes in the form of funding operational and promotional costs, depending on each gallery’s level of structure, internationalization and particular needs.

About Latitude
Latitude
Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad is a programme developed to promote Brazil’s contemporary art market internationally. Created in 2007, in 2011 it became a partnership between Associação Brasileira de Arte Contemporânea ABACT [Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art] and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) with the goal of creating business opportunities for the sector abroad, mainly through professional training, support for international placements and cultural and commercial promotion. As a requirement to become a member of ABACT, all participating galleries must work in the primary market. While it is not mandatory for ABACT members to join Latitude, at the moment its entire membership of over 58 galleries has opted to take part in the project. These galleries are located across seven different Brazilian states and represent more than 1000 contemporary artists.
