Final call for applications

ARTBO, the Arts Program of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, announces the sixteenth edition of ARTBO—International Art Fair of Bogota, which will take place from October 27 to 30, 2022, with a Special Guests Preview on October 26 in Bogota, Colombia. Interested galleries may submit their applications until Friday, April 22, 2022.

ARTBO Fair has established itself as one of the most important fairs in Latin America thanks to the participation of established, emerging, and cutting-edge galleries from the continent as well as the rest of the world. The quality of the galleries’ proposals and its curated sections, the consistent size of its selection, in addition to the profile of its national and international attendees, have positioned it as one of the most attractive and innovative art fairs in the international circuit.

After two years, ARTBO Fair will return to the Great Hall of Corferias, Colombia’s biggest convention center, renewing its price structure with a model that will benefit all exhibitors. Responding to the current challenges being faced by galleries, booth prices will have reductions ranging between 10–29 percent, in addition to other benefits.

ARTBO Fair has four commercial sections for galleries:
Principal
This section presents national and international galleries that have been chosen by the Selection Committee. In addition to established and emerging galleries, it includes the 21m² category, in which young galleries (with up to six years of activity) participate.

Proyectos
This section presents the work of contemporary artists, under the commercial representation of a gallery, who have been selected and invited by a curator.

Referentes
This section focuses on historical works that changed paradigms and shaped the history of art, thus becoming references for contemporary artists. The pieces exhibited in this museographic exhibition belong to the archives of galleries participating in the Principal and Proyectos sections.

Sitio
Sitio brings together projects that stimulate the viewer’s perception through the fairgrounds. The galleries in the Principal and Proyectos sections have the possibility of nominating sculptures, installations, performances, and projects whose nature requires a space different from the traditional booth.

Other sections of ARTBO Fair:
Artecámara, an exhibition that presents the work of emerging artists under 40 years of age without commercial representation; Foro, a program of talks focused on the different dynamics of contemporary art; Libro de artista, an exhibition that brings together different publishers that work with the book as an artistic medium; and Institutions, publishers and cultural publications that present and promote their work.
